Brexit changed which organizations may hold some country-code domains. The best-known case is .eu: after the UK's departure, organizations established only in the UK and UK citizens living outside the EU and EEA lost eligibility, and ineligible domains were withdrawn after 31 March 2021. Newer EU rules, such as the NIS2 directive, add further requirements for registration data.

Hannah Fletcher and Daniel Hartley discuss the effects on domain name portfolios today and the best practices for addressing the challenges that domain owners face in the UK, the EU and abroad.

During this webinar, you will receive updates on these key areas:

  • Eligibility and residency requirements for ccTLDs, including .eu
  • How registration data rules such as NIS2 affect registrants
  • Risk mitigation strategies and best practices
