San Francisco, CA: September 21, 2026 – MarkScout will join members of the apparel and footwear industry at the MAGIC trade show in Las Vegas to discuss protecting brands online. The conversations will focus on counterfeits, unauthorised sellers and look-alike websites.
Apparel and footwear remain heavily targeted. In the OECD and EUIPO's 2025 report, counterfeit trade was valued at USD 467 billion, with fashion goods among the leading categories.
MarkScout will share practical examples of how brands detect fake listings, work with marketplaces and use test purchases and seller data to take down networks.
“Retail and wholesale teams see the problem first. The trade show is the right place to compare notes on what is working,” says Hannah Fletcher, marketing and events manager at MarkScout.
