San Francisco, CA: March 6, 2026 – MarkScout has been honored in the Online Trust Audit and Honor Roll for its approach to consumer privacy, site security and responsible communication. The audit scores sites across several categories and recognises those that reach at least 80% overall without a failing category.
Privacy and security expectations have tightened since the audit began. Regulation such as GDPR and the EU's NIS2 directive has raised the bar for how organisations collect and protect data, and customers increasingly ask suppliers to show how they comply.
MarkScout's practices include minimising the personal data it collects, encrypting data in transit and at rest, and reviewing third-party scripts and trackers regularly.
“Customers trust us with sensitive information about their brands and their investigations. Protecting it is part of the product,” says Daniel Hartley, Chief Revenue Officer at MarkScout.
